cedar falls single- speed founder -- david morgan -- he plans to bring new life to waterloo. during a news conference governor branstad said: i remember traveling to dubuque in 2011 when a terrential rain caused a flash flood that did significant damage to a number those types of flooding risks and help improve water quality throughout our state. dubuque will be getting 31 and a half millions dollars to assist in flood repair - specifically to go towards the bee branch watershed project that would help mitigate flash flooding issues. a house fire that claimed the life of two young girls is ruled an accident. it happened in wauzeka wisconsin, just across the border from iowa. the state fire marshall's investigation revealed the fire started in the center of the home near the stair case which prevented the girls from escaping. they also said they couldn't definitively state how or what started the fire. police have made an arrest in

threats. the bomb threat took place on tuesday and resulted in more than two thousand students being evacuated from west high school. during the police's investigation, detectives recovered the phone that made the 9-1-1 call from a man's car after he was arrested for a bank robbery at the u.s. bank on william street. clifton brinkmeyer was the guy arrested for that bank robbery . the robbery happened shortly after the bomb threat was called in. brinkmeyer is charged with threat of terrorism along with second degree robbery. brinkmeyer was released after posting bond. it was a scary wake-up call for iowa state students this morning while they were camping out for monday's game against kansas. a tent caught fire at 3-30 a-m outside hilton coliseum. witnesses say a propane tank with a heater attached started a blanket on fire. no one was hurt and the three men inside were able to get out

the estimated cost of damage done is one- thousand dollars. a major winter storm is moving up the eastern seaboard today. along interstate 81 in virginia, snow began falling overnight. as you can see, driving is treacherous and the going is slow. heavy snow is expected to continue to fall all day today and into tomorrow. the blizzard is also affecting eastern iowans who travelled to the east coast. many from dubuque there for the "march for life," rally in washington d-c. kw-wl's shirley descorbeth spoke with them earlier today. she's live now from the t-h media newsroom in dubuque with details. shirley... well, a powerful winter storm is hitting the nation's capitol. despite the storm, the "march for life" rally was not cancelled. and thousands of people, including several dubuquers are there.

(nat sound) thousands of demonstrators from across the country are in washington d-c protesting against abortion at the annual "march "and now the march is just beginning to start, so we're the same time -- d-c is snow. and although the snow storm is predicted to hit the city -- the rally still goes on. five buses from dubuque drove the 18 hour ride to the east coast. "we got out here yesterday about 11, and we're doing the march righnow." all of this for the 43rd anniversary of roe vs. wade -- the supreme court's decision to make abortions legal. dubuquer's say it was important to make the trip to make their voices heard. doing doughnuts in the parking lot. they tried to pull him over, but he led them on a chase -- going through several stop signs and driving twice the speed limit. countdown to the iowa caucus... donald trump's bid for president got another reality star throwing support behind his campaign. 'duck dynasty' star willie robertson introduced and endorsed trump thursday night at the outdoor sportsman awards in las vegas. trump thanked willie for his endorsement, and reaffirmed his support for the second amendment. this comes only a week after willie's controversial relative phil robertson endorsed trump's rival ted cruz. and mike huckabee will be jamming out on stage tonight in iowa. huckabee will be playing bass guitar alongside 80's rock band fire house at the surf ballroom in des moines. the event starts at eight p.m.
